T-Shirt Art

Took this shot in a souvenir shop and liked the t-shirts hanging there.

I believe they all represent the work of famous artists - the just looked great hung there to me!

Well, I for one did NOT think it was a quilt. But upon considering it, I think I would LIKE to have a quilt like this! Where can I get one?

I like the many colors in the photo. . .gives it a very confused look (which is great).

That's just so spanish!! :)

I love collecting shirts from the places I go to... sadly last holidays I went to 4 countries in a row and so I had not much money left to buy shirts all over... :s

Great shot! Have you asked permission to shot this one or you just snapped the shot? Cause last time I snapped something like this I had problems... :s

Nice capture. I'm of two minds about t-shirt art. On the one hand, if it gets people to think about / see art when they wouldn't otherwise, I'm all for it. On the other hand, it can minimize the impact of something that is much, much more than the graphic on a piece of clothing. Ah well! I guess I tend more towards the first. :)

metal - no I did not ask permission, I did not feel I needed to for this.

kmj - I see your point, but I am with you, the more this stuff sees the light of day the better.

I also think this looks like a quilt. I really like the brick (?) background.

Yay, finally able to comment on your Barcelona set.

I like this subject in particular, because it's a very wicked mix of collours and warm tones. I don't know about you, but I get a Jamaica feeling looking at this.
