Eiffel Tower: Red & Yellow

Red Pressure Vessel

Yellow Pressure Vessel

On the way up I saw these two pressure vessels. I am not sure what they are for, perhaps for fire prevention or hyraulic fluid for the elevators.

Whatever they are, they provided me and my pocket camera with a photo opportunity.

The red one was near the bottom (from memory) and the yellow one part way up - you can see some steps in the background.

I visited the Eiffel tower a couple of times. Never saw those pressure vessels. I should have they are so bright. But you have an eye for details that I never see.

I'm glad you get to travel aroung Europe. How else would I know what anything looks like there? I'm enjoying your Eiffel Tower coverage.

I never would have expected these to come from the Eiffel Tower. I didn't realize it had any color. My only experience has been from photos like your previous one. Great eye.

Yes, there was a time when everything of the Eiffel Tower was painted in grey or in green "army", it was very sad... It is much more "shiny" and fun now! Is not it ?

Wow--I thought these were close-up shots at first, of something small, until I saw the person's legs up in the top of the first shot...they're actually rather large, aren't they? I love these bright colors against the dull greys and browns of the backgrounds! :)

Woww. As Lara said, only when these are compared with the person's legs their size is comprehensible. And look at those giant-sized nuts and bolts on them..

Ian, though we(my husband and I) want to travel across Europe someday, we dont know when. So I am really enjoying your photos on Eiffel Tower.

These are such fun details. I never think of such splotches of color (even if they are just for mechanical and not aesthetic purposes) in an icon like the Eiffel Tower.

Thank you all - I love the stark vivid colour in these containers. Especially against the buff of the tower.
