Southern France: Seat of Many Colours

Seat of Many Colours

This is a sofa in my hotel room on my recent trip - I could not resist it!

This one is for Rock who did as painting like this a few years ago :-)

What rich and bold colors! I'm curious.. what was on your mind that made you to think, "cool... I gonna take this shot" then you just grab your buddy to click on that object?

They are earthy tones and bright. I like the white lines accentuating each color.

The only problem with furniture like this is that even with the lights out it's so loud it still manages to keep you from sleeping.

Yep, you got it bad like me, can't resist taking pictures of color for colors sake. I like how it all meets in the corner

You would never have to worry that it didn't match your decor.

How cool it was to pop open your blog and to see my name staring at me! Thanks.

I love the color combination and the big, bold, beautiful strips (is that alliteration or what!)

This shade of green is my favorite!

Wow, those are some bold colors. Looks like something you'd like in some old California sixties movie.

How was the rest of the room decorated? This is a very bold color pattern. I'm used to something a little more subtle from the places I've stayed.

It´s in the eyes...most of us don't look, or don't want to see, some of us are just born with eyes to see ;)

Thank you all very much for your comments.

This was a classy room - the walls were discreet colours - I did not sleep in there as it was an adjacent sitting room.

I saw this on my arrival (how could I miss it) I knew I would photograph it, but did not want to do it right away - I let it mull through my mind. I then decided the shot the next day, used my tripod and took shots with and without flash.

That was the process for this one, oftntimes it is more spontaneous depending on the time and kit I have available.
