Flickr Favs: Rainbow Tree

Rainbow Tree

I thought I would gratuitously post a picture of a rainbow taken from my back garden a while back.

Tried to capture it together with the neighbour's tree when it was in bloom to add interest. Sadly I have a new neighbour now who has chopped the tree down :-(

We still get rainbows from time to time :-)

Beautiful rainbow ! You are right the tree adds something to the composition of your picture. Sad to hear they cut the tree away :-(

Beth this is Photoshopped (though I use Paintshop Pro).

I have upped the intensity of the colour and sharpened the thing and cropped it square.

The colour of the tree and the different hues of the rainbow go very well together.

I always make a wish when I see a rainbow...

I like this photo as a square. The rainbow divides the frame right in half. And nice job in boosting the colors!! I tried to do that with a rainbow shot, and it just didn't turn out this nicely.

This is an incredibly vivid rainbow. Reminds me of the ones I used to see out in Hawaii.

Bravo, Ian! You really have done a wonderful job on this one! And I love the look of this tree--it almost looks as though it's covered in bunches of golden grapes!

Ian, you did a wonderful job getting all the colors of the rainbow. What kind of tree is that? There seem to be two types of leaves.

This is fantastic color on the rainbow... typically they are so elusive and hard to capture. I don't know if I've ever seen such brilliance in a photograph of one.
