Flowers: Life Goes On

Life Goes On

This is a picture of a flower in our garden at home taken over the weekend.

I loved the spent flower echoing the one in all its glory - I also pinched it out and took several frames without it, but in the end I liked this one the best.

This is just beautiful. What kind of flower is that, I don't recognize it. It looks like it is floating in the air. And that is nice contrast between the two flowers, the old and new. Great shot, thanks for sharing!

Very nice macro. You were right to keep the spent flower, it adds a very nice contrast.

Very pretty, I agree. The longer I look at it, the more I like it, because the flower seems to be swaying there.

Thought I'd post here regarding your post on my blog. I just used aperature priority mode (f/5.6) for the shot to get the dof. The only post processing on that one was a little bit to the saturation. Thank you for your comment!

Beatiful flower - now I'll probably have to spend much more time in my garden shooting images of flowers since Bren saw these. I don't know if that is good or bad!
