Patterns: Jumpers

I took this in a shop in Oxford last year - the assistant gave me that young persons look of contempt for the idiosyncrasies of the older generation!

I am signing off now - have a great week and look out for some great photography apperaing here from guest photographers for the next seven days.

This has such a nice feeling of comfort. Good eye to notice the patterns and colors, not to mention spot-on exposure. Very nice.

How on earth did you get such beautiful lighting in there? Most stores around here are under yucky flourescent lights. Nice shot!

Awesome find. I'm a young person, but have no style. I get the same looks when I walk into stores. Little do they know I don't want to buy anything, I'm just along for the ride as my girlfriend tries to get me into shape.

Have a safe trip, and I'll see you when you get back!

I don't know which is worse - being the old geezer or the contemptuous youth ;-)

I teach them young'uns, 18 through 22, mostly. I have learned that if they don't give me that look at least once in a class, I am not getting through to them. (They really roll their eyes when I play them some of the music I love.) Maybe after you left, the clerk began looking around him/herself in a more critical manner. Maybe they even saw something the never noticed before, or just enjoyed the colors with a fresh eye. Then you will have given them something important. One can at least hope. I live on hope.
