Walls Of Parchment

Walls Of Parchment

Hello, all! My name is Lara Barrett, and I'm filling in today while Ian's off enjoying his vacation (the lucky duck!). This is a brand new photo of mine, and for some reason, the colors remind me of Ian, so I figured it would be an appropriate image for me to post here. I drive by this church all the time on my way home from work, and am always struck with how very interesting it is...so I've been taking lots of pictures of it lately.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and are as excited about the weekend as I am!

And thanks, Ian, for inviting me to guest post--I can't wait to see what you have in store for us when you return!

Interesting colors - surely Ian would have picked up the window for his Patterns theme! The deep blue sky lends a cheerful background.

Lara, this is a beautiful shot and the colors are simply perfect! With the orange hue of the church it gives you the feeling that the sun is reflecting off from it. I wonder if I'd recognize the church if I saw the whole thing. Have a great weekend!

Hi,

Nice color contrast. And those patches of green gives it a more realistic look. hehhehe, it looks something like a set from Tim Burtons movies. Have a nice weekend!

Wow, Barrett! Great photo here. I hope to see more like this in "Lara Barrett: Photography" soon. Ian sure is lucky to have had such great guests. Morven Photo is now EVEN better because of you all (the photo guests idea is so good I might try it myself soon too!).

A classic Lara photograph. Vivid, bright colors, fine framing and those blue on blue Texas skies.

Thanks so much, all!

Kim, you very well might recognize it--it's right at the Park (I think) and the Dallas N. Tollway, and it has a dome with a cross on the top.

Hi, ghost particle! I like your name, and I love Tim Burton's style--so thanks for that! :)

And Rock--the blue on blue skies are one of my very favorite things about this state! I can't get enough of them!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Lara, Thank you for agreeing to post here, I aprreciate it.

What a lovely photo - the intense, vivid colour (a Lara hallmark). As cosmic says, I do love the pattern in the window.

Hey Lara, a little late to comment, but it's a wonderful shot. Amazing colors, as usual in you, the queen of colors ("colours" for Ian).
